I also like both KeywordLuv and CommentLuv. Properly used, they can have a major impact on the activity of a blog. Obviously, they can be abused through comment spam, but that sort of comes with the territory.

I’d really like to see more blogs utilize these plug-ins as they can be beneficial for everyone involved.

I have been thinking about adding the plugins too, but was wondering how much spam I’ll receive. I guess as long as I moderate the comments it should be fine!

I’ve never heard of these plugins until a few days ago. Is this plugin a must for self-hosted blogs?

Hi,
Keyword Luv is a great plugin, and I think it definatly will help people find your blog. People search for “Keyword Luv”, and then get directed to your blog and want to comment. Great idea.

Jem@Palau Island said in June 14th, 2009 at 12:08 pm

Yea, I agree, people will comment more if we have keywordluv installed, :)

Karl Foxley@SEO Blog said in August 24th, 2009 at 5:16 pm

CommentLuv and KeywordLuv are great plugins for Wordpress users. I also recommend Lucia Link Love as a way of rewarding your visitors who comment a certain amount of times. I have mine set to five, so if people leave five decent comments that meet our Comment Policy criteria, then all of their links become do follow.

I think that is a good trade! :)

Regards,

Karl
